Carol Lin-Murphy

Vice President

Once a pre-med student, turned lawyer and entrepreneur, Carol’s current role in university administration combines her desire to solve problems with the ability to work with young people for an institution rooted in education and scholarship. Throughout these career changes, one constant through all of this is music – no matter what she’s doing professionally, participation in and enjoyment of the fine arts is a continuous thread in her life!

Carol met Élider DiPaula when she decided to take lessons to revive her piano playing during the pandemic. She was inspired to join Project 88 by his passion and focus, as well as the opportunity to instill a love and appreciation for music in the next generation. She is excited to expand the philanthropic base needed to support the mission of Project 88, and thereby grow the organization’s reach in programming and music education.

In her free time, Carol enjoys tinkering on the piano, going to concerts and shows – especially opera and musicals, Lego-building with her son, and cooking and eating delicious food, often with her mahjong
group.
